Crowdfunding – Top 9 Online Resources Part One

Can you make your money grow?

Crowdfunding is one of the most innovative methods by which entrepreneurs are funding their business ventures, but with hundreds of sites claiming to assist in legitimate online funding, it can be tough to differentiate the real from the risky. In part one of this post we will introduce 5 of 9 websites that have known popularity and proven results.

1. Community Leader: This site is our favorite here at Stock Connections and we highly recommend it to all of our clients. This site features online videos and seminars to help businesses and investors learn more about the practice of crowdfunding. Their CrowdLeader application allows for the highest level of organization with task lists, investor profiles and direct chat features

2. Start-up Addict: This is a unique crowdfunding website that not only provides a platform for donors, but also provides business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools that could assist in creating a successful start-up. Tools include business plan templates and competition monitoring programs.

3. Rocket Hub: This crowdfunding platform has received a lot of acclaim from publications like NPR, the New York Times and The Economist. With two program paths; Launch Pad and Fuel Pad, this site not only helps businesses get started but helps business owners, entrepreneurs and creative minds find opportunities after their endeavor has become funded.

4. Cofolio: Crowdfunding can be a great way for small and local businesses to emerge in the marketplace. This site connects local investors with those local and small businesses and allows for the promotion of buy local campaigns throughout the states.

5. Indie GoGo: This site was one of the first crowdfunding sites developed and debuted in 2008. With this site also being the largest worldwide it has a proven and tremendously successful track record for business with over 30,000 crowdfunding campaigns hosted in nearly 200 countries!

These five sites are only a few of the platforms that have been successful in hosting and promoting crowdfunding campaigns. Check back for part two and be sure to let us know which sites have caught your eye.
